Brommelsiek Challenge Report

First off, big thanks to Mitch, his crew and the park for hosting an awesome event. Great park for a race, super clean area with an awesome trail.

There were only 10 that showed up on Sunday in the expert field, not sure what was up with that.

Goal for the day was to keep pace with team mate Mark and see where that would take me. That plan did not play out all to well as I fell off the pace possibly halfway into lap 1. Tom Albert and Drew Black caught up to me and we raced together for the next few laps.

In lap 4 Tom had a surge of energy and pulled away. Drew was starting to make grunting sounds on the hills so I knew he was starting to hurt. At the the start of lap 5 I pushed the pace up the hill and lost Drew. I spent the next two laps working to keep a good pace and finish up 7th.

Walked away slightly disappointed but had a fun day regardless.
