There was an issue with the hub being some sort of new design resulting in a fit problem with the cassette. End result is that we had to order a new cassette that would fit, which pushes the completion date back to Wednesday or so of next week. No big deal.
The new bike is awesome. looks sweet and it's 17 pounds minus the chain and rear cassette. Should come in about 18.5 or so, a good 3 pounds lighter. Can't wait to get it out for a ride.
oh baby!sweet~! pardon those electronic drool blobs all over this post:)

Damn sam, that's a nice machine! Now, you need an identical 2nd one for the pits. ;-)
ReplyDeletevery nice - are you going to be able to ride it in your Jan. races?
ReplyDeleteJohn
Boz -funny - no way that will happen.
ReplyDeleteJohn - hope to fun race it this Sunday then will take it out a few times on the gravel rides. Other than that it will sit and wait for cross season to start. May switch out wheels and race it at froze toes.
Jeff - I had to switch out the wheels thing on my X bike for the State Crit Champs two years ago and I ended up taking the last corner way too hot - jumped the curb and rode the grass for about 100 feet.
ReplyDeleteGood thing I had the X bike.
