Keep on keep'in on

Not much to update here of late, this time of year things become the same day after day. Get up, work out, go to work, come home, relax in front to the my favorite TV shows and off to bed. Wake up and do it all over again.

The most exciting workouts this past few weeks have been the gravel/Katy Trail/ road rides. Last Sunday three of us headed out for a 4 hour adventure. The gravel roads have taken me to some very steep climbs rewarded by awesome views. We have had a good amount of moisture over the past 30 days, this makes the Katy Trail super soft. Trail may be flat but feels like you're going up hill, even the tail wind did not help.

I'm still waiting on my Fuji frame, hope to see that come in the mail in the next few days. Seems they used the slowest/cheapest way possible to ship.

My MTB goes into the shop on Saturday. The local bike shop in Hermann is not the place to have work done, they are a bike rental and supplies type shop. So the bike goes to Big Shark on Saturday and I'll pick it back up the next Saturday. Broken spoke and the rear wheel does not spin freely, something is rubbing. I figure with 25 degree weather on Sunday I'll be stuck in side so won't need the bike anyway.

I took the day off today, plan on watching The Kingdom which I've been looking forward to for months and 3:10 to Yuma while on the rollers.

  1. With 25 degree weather we'd be jumping up and down for joy. X bike on the gravel. Now get out there and ride that bike.
I think we are going to have 15 below Sat night.
