The rest week is about over. No sure how much rest I got, Ive been working on dry stack rock walls before and after work. I'm getting one heck of an upper body work out, you'd think that will help my swimming stroke.
During this down time I have been making training plans. I came across Train Peaks which has a slick workout program, not to mention the website interface is excellent. It's plans are based mostly on the Friel methods which I have read both the cycling and MTB training bibles so I understand the terms and concepts. If your not it can be hard to follow.
The nice thing is the addition of swimming workouts and many more workouts to choose from then what you get from the books. I think there are over 100 to choose from. It also has a pre-built 12 week training plan just for the Max race in September and other 10 to 12 week workout plans to choose from base training to crits.
